Family Law
Family Law is an area where settling issues quickly and with the least amount of stress is beneficial to all parties. We provide advice as to your options about issues such as paternity tests, divorce, access, custody and day-to-day care arrangments. We also have experince with protection orders and domestic violence issues. Our aim is to negotiate for workable and mutually beneficial agreements.
Mediation & Dispute Resolution
Our aim is to settle all legal matters quickly, quietly and at the minimum cost to you. With training in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), we can assist with mediations, arbitrations and negotiations. In our experience, many situations can be resolved using ADR.
Employment Advice & Support
Employment law is a minefield these days. If you think your employment rights have been breached, we will support you through claims of wrongful dismissal, issues of redundancies, exit packages and personal grievances. We also assist with contract negotiation and proofreading and provide Employment Relations Authority representation and negotiation.
Criminal Law
Buckingham Law offers basic criminal representation with an emphasis towards resolving issues quickly and quietly wherever possible. Apart from standard represenation in criminal law, Buckingham Law is the only law firm in New Zealand to specialise in criminal law for people with neurodiversity issues. We regularly represent clients on the autistic spectrum, with ADHD and other such issues and have worked hard in building close and positive relationships with many organsiations in this area.
ACC
We can help with lodging a claim, handling reviews and further legal action. This includes assistance with medical error cases. We provide support and advice as to your rights, responsibilities and needs.
